After spending eight months behind bars for a crime he did not commit, Musab Yasser was acquitted of the charges against him.
The 18-year-old Musab was charged with killing a policeman (Najm al-Din) in Al-Imtidad near the Samir center during the demonstrations and was arrested with a group of young people based on information from the police squad describing the culprit.
On February 15, police began a random arresting campaign of youth with the same description, Musab was one of them.
Musab was arrested from the yard next to their house and was not informed of the reasons for his detention as provided for in the Criminal Procedure Act 1991. all detainees were released except for Musab. He was acquitted on 26 September.
