Huqooq – Al Geneina District
A citizen was arrested by the security services in the administrative unit of Asinga, which is located on the border with Chad and 30 kilometers away from Al Geneina. Repeated arrests and torture by members of the security services provoked the anger of the citizens of Asinga leading them to burn the security services headquarters on the 31st of October 2019. Security forces fired live ammunition at the demonstrators, and among the injured was a policeman.
